Wegmans awards college scholarships to area store employees

Wegmans grocery stores in our region will award college scholarships to several employees. According to a company spokeswoman, the local recipients are some of the 1,900 employees to receive tuition assistance from the company this year.

Since 1984, Wegmans has awarded more than 44,000 employee scholarships totaling over $135 million. For the 2022-2023 school year, over 1,900 new scholarships will be awarded, and more than $6 million in tuition assistance will be provided to both new and returning scholarship recipients.
