Saint John's, Saint Benedict Score Highly In Another College Rating

(KNSI) – Money Magazine has ranked Saint John’s University and the College of Saint Benedict highly on its Best Colleges in America 2022 list. For the Midwest, Saint John’s is 10th, the second-best mark among all Minnesota institutions. Saint Benedict ranks 13th, in fourth place statewide. St. Olaf College and the University of Minnesota in the Twins Cities also rate well. Saint John’s University and the College of Saint Benedict both place in the top 50 nationwide.

St. Thomas to host Black Hills State in 2023 and 2024

The St. Thomas Tommies will host the Black Hills State Yellow Jackets in 2023 and 2024, the school announced on Tuesday. St. Thomas will host Black Hills State at O’Shaughnessy Stadium in Saint Paul, Minn., on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023 and then again the following season on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024. Black Hills State University is a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in Division II. New Saint Lucian ambassador presents credentials to President Tsai

Taipei, May 5 (CNA) President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) welcomed Saint Lucia's new Ambassador to Taiwan Robert Kennedy Lewis Thursday, as he presented his credentials to the president. In her remarks, the president also asked the new Saint Lucian ambassador to convey her greetings to acting Governor-General of Saint Lucia Errol Charles and Philip J. Pierre, the country's prime minister. Lewis, for his part, said he was extremely honored to serve as the new Saint Lucian ambassador to the Republic of China (Taiwan). Currently, more than 120 Saint Lucian students are studying in Taiwan, he said, expressing hope that the country will continue to provide learning opportunities for the Caribbean nation's doctors, young scholars, students and other professionals. The Republic of China, the official name of Taiwan, first established diplomatic relations with Saint Lucia in 1984, but ties were severed in 1997 and later restored in 2007.

New Saint Lucia envoy to enhance ties in agriculture, education

Taipei, May 12 (CNA) Saint Lucia's new ambassador to Taiwan Robert Kennedy Lewis said in an interview with CNA he will work to strengthen ties in the fields of agriculture and education. Lewis added that "through education, we can make Saint Lucia's agriculture industry stronger and more reliant. Describing the relationship between Saint Lucia and Taiwan, Lewis said: "We both believe in self-determination and the need for our citizens to choose how they are governed." Lewis entered elected politics when he won the race for Castries South in the Saint Lucian general election on Dec. 11, 2006, as the Saint Lucia Labour Party candidate. On Feb. 2, he was appointed as Saint Lucia's ambassador to Taiwan and arrived in Taiwan on March 13.
