Tristen Newton made one official visit after entering the transfer portal following his junior year at East Carolina. After a weekend at UConn, Newton was finished with the process. Newton arrives as UConn loses players to the portal. The Huskies also lost four seniors, including point guard R.J. Cole. Steve Demeo, an assistant at ECU this past season, said Newton can benefit from playing at a high level.

In 1977, he received a doctor of philosophy degree in higher education and institutional research from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.

The University of East Anglia is offering six scholarships for Indian students looking to pursue their postgraduate studies. The university is ranked among the world’s top 200 universities, according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022. The scholarships are offered by various departments at the university, and will be offered to students applying to master’s courses in the 2022-23 academic year. From UNC University Libraries:The University of South Carolina and the University of Virginia to be partners for On the Books: Jim Crow and Algorithms of Resistance. On the Books uses text mining and machine learning to identify racist language in North Carolina legal documents during the Jim Crow era (1866-1967). The University of South Carolina and the University of Virginia were selected through a competitive call for proposals. Both partners have diverse project teams made up of experts in legal information, Jim Crow and machine learning. They will also use machine learning techniques developed at Chapel Hill to identify Jim Crow language in the laws.

New Delhi: The University of East Anglia (UEA), one of the UK’s top 25 universities, has announced six new scholarships for India, offered by various departments at the university. UEA India Award: The UEA India award is available to Indian students applying for post-graduate studies at the UEA. Scholarships for this programme require students to have both, the theoretical and practical skills necessary to create a change in the world. The university is offering scholarships up to £8,000 tuition fee reduction for the masters applicants from India. This scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarship made available through the UEA International Office Scholarship program or from UEA Law School.

AUS partners with University of South Carolina to offer dual PhD

North Carolina Ends St. Peter's Dream Season

PHILADELPHIA — The rebellion of St. Peter’s — the unexpected March uprising by a hardcourt underdog that felled some of college basketball’s most fabled powers — ended in Philadelphia on Sunday. No team ever, in fact, had come so far from such a dismissive start. But North Carolina, dented by an uneven regular season that gave way to the kind of play that has long placed it among the sport’s elite, made short work of St. Peter’s in the East regional final and vanquished its aspirations, 69-49. St. Peter’s, though, had few answers for a supersized North Carolina team that stormed up and down the court, finding open lanes and clean shots amid a cascade of Peacocks miscues. The final buzzer in Philadelphia on Sunday night secured the Final Four matchups, which will be contested on Saturday in New Orleans: Villanova will play Kansas, and North Carolina will meet Duke, the first N.C.A.A.

A couple of the names recorded in the New Testament are probably actual people. There was probably a Peter and a John, definitely a James (the brother of Jesus), and probably a Thomas. Beyond that, there's nothing historical that verifies their existence other than the gospels themselves.
