Just when it seemed University of Washington football recruiters might be all done with Texas, they unearthed yet another prospect deemed worthy of a scholarship offer. On Wednesday, the Huskies offered cornerback Diesel Gordon of Arlington's Seguin High School, making him at least the 21st player from the Lone Star state that Kalen DeBoer's staff has pursued. The Huskies represent Gordon's fourth scholarship offer, with it coming on the heels of others presented to him by Utah, Arizona State and South Alabama. The Washington Noon Rotary Club, is proud to present Rotary Club Scholarships for 2022 to the following three college bound Beaufort County high school seniors: Jackeline Campos (second from left) and Jessica Mendoza from Beaufort County Early College High School and Mr. Ridge Zerniak from Washington High School. The three were honored at the Noon Rotary meeting May 23. In coordination with the Washington Evening and Sunrise Rotary Clubs, Noon Rotary is proud to have annually given scholarships to deserving Beaufort County students for many years. The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service generally, and higher education in particular. The Washington Noon Rotary Club meets weekly for fellowship, lunch and an informative and interesting presentations from a guest speaker.

Two Burnaby post-secondary schools have been named as recipients of B.C. "British Columbia is home to incredible graduate students who are shaping a brighter future for our province," said Burnaby-Deer Lake MLA and B.C. Ten post-secondary schools are splitting a total of $3.75 million, with the investment supporting 250 awards of a minimum of $15,000 each through 2024. graduate scholarships, which has helped support 1,300 awards. May 26—SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio — Three Scioto County students were the recipients of the 2022 Fluor-BWXT (FBP) STEAM Scholarship, a one-time, $2,000 award. Each year, FBP awards 12 college scholarships to area high school students pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM). He plans to pursue a degree in biomedical science at Shawnee State University. Hannah Arthur, Wheelersburg High School, will be majoring in secondary education at Shawnee State University. Caleb Stockham, Minford High School, maintained a 4.0 grade point average, was a member of the National Honor Society, Math Club and the golf team.

Former Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn had a roaring 20s-themed party for her Foundation last weekend, and it was a successful night. The businesswoman and her friends dressed like flappers in green, silver, and gold dresses, while the venue décor followed gold and black theme. She hinted at the event last month, saying it was the first fundraising gala since the COVID-19 Pandemic, so she wanted it to be successful, and she got her wish. Her Foundation sold out all 200 tickets and prepared to have their guests over last Friday.
