Lahaina Restoration Foundation’s Scholarship Committee announced that a total of $40,000 in scholarships is available to Lahainaluna High School seniors and alumni for the 2022-2023 school year. Scholarship amounts of $1,000 and $2,500 will be awarded to qualifying seniors who will graduate from Lahainaluna High School in 2022. These students must be alumni of Lahainaluna High School. IVCC Foundation encouraging high school seniors to apply for scholarships

Nearly 200 scholarships are available online through the Illinois Valley Community College Foundation. McLoud seniors receive McLoud School Foundation Scholarships

The McLoud School Foundation presented three $1,000 scholarships at the McLoud High School Academic Awards Program held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. The following students were presented scholarships by the MSF President Austin Carroll: Novalee Faith Bishop, Taylor Lynn Kennedy and Mackynsie Marie McKedy. In addition, the DeLaine Baxter Memorial Scholarship was presented to Jacob Claxton by Rusty Hall. This scholarship is being presented in honor of DeLaine Baxter who was a teacher, wrestling coach and principal at McLoud High School. UPDATE: Gates Foundation offers grants to scale high school pathway programs

Through its new “Accelerate ED” initiative, it is donating $175,000 each to twelve teams across the country, including one in California led by the Linked Learning Alliance. The initiative is especially focused on Black, Latino and low-income students, who receive less support as they transition from high school to college and the workforce. Allan said it’s important dual enrollment programs don’t just offer a random smattering of college courses, but that they set up students for post-secondary success. The Linked Learning Alliance, a nonprofit that advocates for and certifies career pathway programs in schools, will be leading a team that includes Oakland Unified, Long Beach and Antelope Valley Union High school districts.
